Job Description
The New York City Comptroller’s Office is seeking an Investment Officer to assist in overseeing the investment activity for the infrastructure investment program for the five New York City pension systems. The role involves supporting the identification, review, and evaluation of prospective fund and co-investment opportunities, and monitoring the portfolio of existing investments to ensure compliance with the terms of the limited partnership agreement.

Requirements

  • A graduate degree from an accredited college or university with major studies in finance, economics, accounting, or business, or a related field
  • Three (3) or more years of full-time experience in a financial services organization, with progressively increasing responsibility for complex financial transactions and considerable exposure to infrastructure investments (equity or debt)
  • Ability to perform due diligence of fund and co-investment opportunities, and develop financial models and perform technical analyses
  • Ability to analyze the performance of existing investments, and prepare presentations and analyses used in annual implementation and strategic plans
