Role OverviewGEM is seeking a senior investment professional to join our Investment Research Group and lead our venture capital secondaries and co-investment practice. This professional will report to the Managing Director of Venture Capital and will play a central role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing secondary transactions and co-investment opportunities across the technology and venture capital landscape.
What You Will Do
Contribute to building a best-in-class venture capital program across primaries, secondaries and co-investments. Lead GEM’s secondaries and co-investment practice, an integral and growing part of its overall venture capital program. Identify and assess secondary market opportunities, including LP interest sales and structured liquidity solutions.

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance; CFA or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of relevant experience in venture capital, fund-of-funds, or institutional investing focused on the technology sector, with a track record of successful secondary transactions and co-investments
- Deep familiarity with the venture capital and technology investment landscape, particularly in the Bay Area
- Ability to conduct industry research, articulate opinions, and make clear and concise investment recommendations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, work ethic, and professional demeanor in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
