Role Overview

LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Dothan AL. This role involves performing blood collections and specimen handling in a Patient Service Center or Client office. The position follows a Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm schedule with a 1-hour lunch.

What You Will Do

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Perform data entry of patient information, process billing information, and prepare collected specimens for testing. Travel to additional sites when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
