Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced iSeries Systems Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our IBM i (AS400/iSeries/System i) infrastructure. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our enterprise systems.

Requirements

  • Deep technical expertise in IBM i and IBM Power Systems environments
  • Strategic mindset to align infrastructure with evolving business goals
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM i operating systems
  • Knowledge of OS upgrades, PTFs, and hardware refresh cycles
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as PM400 and iNavigator
  • Experience with scripting for system and storage administration using CL and SQL
  • Knowledge of security policies, user access controls, and audit procedures
  • Experience with compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff
  • Experience with system performance, capacity planning, and tuning
  • Ability to design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance IBM i system architectures
