Job Description
La Crosse County is seeking a Mental Health Crisis Specialist to enhance crisis response coordination and provide mental health support to individuals experiencing crises. The role involves responding to phone and on-site evaluations, working with community partners, and developing crisis plans. The position requires a strong sense of empathy, decision-making skills, and ability to collaborate with community partners.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling, or closely related field
Previous experience working with persons with problems of mental illness or persons experiencing mental health crises
Demonstrated skill in relationship building with community partners (schools, law enforcement, other human services partners, nursing homes, etc)
