Job Description
IT Intern is an entry-level role responsible for providing IT services and support to enhance departments' operational efficiencies and patient safety. The intern will assist in designing system workflows, participating in change management activities, and troubleshooting issues with vendor assistance.

Requirements

  • Assists with the design of system workflow in conjunction with clinical and business partners
  • Provides support and offers input as needed. Escalates issues appropriately
  • Participates in change management activities to support successful system deployments and enhancements
  • Assists other team members in ensuring good documentation standards
  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures
  • Troubleshoots issues with vendor assistance, to resolution
  • Supports/troubleshoots Hospital Information Systems inbound/outbound interfaces
  • Creates reports as needed and works problem tickets using ServiceNow or through the process designated
  • Works with other application analysts to insure system integrations
  • Utilizes and maintains appropriate change control procedures and standards
  • Prepares detailed flowcharts/diagrams to assist with design decisions and problem analysis
