Role Overview

Maintain agency-wide and statewide inventory, develop and enforce policies and procedures on inventory control, and assign and tag equipment for technician retrieval. The role involves preparing equipment for deployment, unboxing and setting up devices, and responding to technician and employee requests for accessories. The position is essential to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency.

What You Will Do

Maintain extensive inventory, develop and enforce policies and procedures, assign and tag equipment, prepare equipment for deployment, unbox and set up devices, and respond to technician and employee requests for accessories.

The ideal candidate will have 9 months of experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or equivalent experience in inventory control, electronic data processing, and public relations. Requirements

  • 9 months of experience as an Inventory Control Specialist
  • 18 months of training or 18 months of experience in inventory control
  • 3 courses or 9 months of experience in electronic data processing related to inventory control
  • 1 course or 3 months of experience in public relations
