Job Description
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead mission-critical technology initiatives for the city. The role involves planning and execution of IT projects, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with city standards.
Requirements
Oversee the entire project lifecycle for city-wide IT initiatives
Serve as the primary point of contact between technical staff and non-technical city agencies
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
Manage vendor relationships and performance
Monitor project budgets and ensure transparent and efficient use of public funds
Identify potential project risks or bottlenecks and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure all new systems and software deployments adhere to city cybersecurity policies and data privacy laws
