Role Overview

The IT Release Manager supports the planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of new and recurring IT release activities across a broad range of IT functions, including application and infrastructure environments. This role works closely with technical teams, project teams, deployment sponsors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure releases are executed according to approved plans, timelines, and established ITIL and Change Management processes.

What You Will Do

Execute and coordinate release activities for simple to moderately complex application and infrastructure initiatives. Manage assigned release activities across multiple applications, teams, and projects, including tracking dependencies and milestones.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in IT Release Management, Change Management, IT Operations, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience coordinating application and infrastructure deployments in enterprise environments
  • Experience managing release schedules, dependencies, documentation, and stakeholder communications
  • Experience working within formal ITIL-based Change and Release Management processes
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Knowledge of release management tools, deployment processes, and production support practices
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams
  • Basic understanding of IT security, compliance, risk management, and governance requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
