Job Description
The IT Systems Support 2 position involves hardware and software installation, maintenance, and training on microcomputer workstations in local and wide area networks. The incumbent provides technical problem resolution on microcomputer workstations that include hardware, communications, or multi-product integration. This team supports end-user and data processing personnel and manages and provides trouble resolution for DOJ-wide area network users and authorized agents.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in information technology or related field
  • One to three years of experience supporting network or computer systems technologies
  • Ability to work in all aspects of a team environment
  • Extensive knowledge of desktop/laptop computer support and troubleshooting
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office application uses and troubleshooting
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Extensive knowledge of computer peripherals such as scanners, printers, and MFPs
  • Thorough knowledge of system, diagnostic, and utility software
  • Knowledge of LANs, WANs and WWANs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft System Center applications
  • Knowledge of mobile computing devices like tablets and smartphones
