Job Description
Austin Industrial is seeking a Janitor to perform cleaning and maintenance duties for their facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and dining room, as well as public areas. They will also be required to perform special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room and public areas
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
  • Gather and empty trash
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
  • Adjust and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions
  • Steam-clean or shampoo carpets
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
  • Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water
  • Clean laboratory equipment
  • Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
  • Monitor building security and safety
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
  • Requisition supplies and equipment
