Role OverviewLAUKOA is seeking a qualified Journeyman Electrician to support facilities operations at Fort Meade, Maryland. This position performs preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, and modification of electrical systems and associated equipment in Government-owned facilities.
What You Will Do
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial electrical systems. Diagnose and repair electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, branch circuits, panels, breakers, transformers, motors, and associated electrical equipment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must possess a current Journeyman Electrician license recognized by the State of Maryland or a reciprocal jurisdiction acceptable to the State. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing commercial or institutional electrical maintenance and repair.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Journeyman Electrician license recognized by the State of Maryland or a reciprocal jurisdiction acceptable to the State
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing commercial or institutional electrical maintenance and repair
- Experience maintaining electrical systems in commercial, industrial, institutional, or Government facilities
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation
