Role OverviewLAUKOA is seeking a qualified Journeyman HVAC Technician to support facilities operations at Fort Meade, Maryland. This position performs preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, and modification of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems in Government-owned facilities.
What You Will Do
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. Diagnose and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and associated control systems.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must possess a current Journeyman HVAC license recognized by the State of Maryland or a reciprocal jurisdiction acceptable to the State, if required by law. Must possess a valid EPA Section 608 Universal Certification. Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Journeyman HVAC license recognized by the State of Maryland or a reciprocal jurisdiction acceptable to the State
- Valid EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing commercial or institutional HVAC maintenance and repair
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation
