Role OverviewThis is a field position that requires 5 years of lineman experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, building, and maintaining OH/UG electric facilities, including installation, removal, and maintenance of primary line facilities and secondary services. The role requires working in extreme weather conditions, confined spaces, and at heights for extended periods. The candidate must be able to work irregular hours, out of town assignments, and be available for on-call duty and emergency response.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, removing, and maintaining OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services, including transformers, regulators, capacitors, and reclosers. They will also be responsible for driving different sizes and types of trucks, operating various pieces of equipment, and reading and understanding job prints and sketches.

Requirements
- 5 years of lineman experience
- Class A Commercial Drivers License
- Ability to use physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions
- Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks with limited supervision
- Ability to plan and lay out all work in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to assume a lead role and direct the work of other linemen
- Ability to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures
- Ability to learn through classroom instruction, OJT and repetitive motions
- Ability to climb and work off of poles of various heights
- Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazards
- Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets
- Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service
- Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement
