Role OverviewThis position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening. The Journeyman Lineman is responsible for building and maintaining electric power systems and for restoring electric service to commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential customers.
What You Will Do
The Journeyman Lineman will test, frame and set poles; climb poles, work in confined spaces; splice and terminate cables. They will also install and replace equipment, meters and streetlights, and operate hydraulic equipment and lift equipment.

The ideal candidate will have completed a federal or state sanctioned line worker apprenticeship and/or IBEW sponsored line worker apprenticeship, and will have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Requirements
- Completion of a federal or state sanctioned line worker apprenticeship with approved supporting documentation
- Valid Class A driving permit
- Pass a DMV medical exam
- Age 18 or older
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- Ability to wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work and drive in all types of weather and road conditions
- Capable to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays
