Role OverviewThe Journeyman Mechanic is responsible for independently diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. This role interprets work orders, identifies mechanical issues, performs necessary repairs or adjustments, and upholds all safety and compliance standards.
What You Will Do
Maintains, repairs, and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment, interprets work orders and technical manuals, keeps equipment cleaned, lubricated, and maintained, diagnoses faults or malfunctions, and adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts, components, or systems.

Requirements
- ASE certifications are a plus

- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Waste industry experience, a plus
- Completion of college or vocational or technical training, a plus
- Experience with routine maintenance operations is required
- A valid CDL driver license is a plus
- Must be 21 years of age, or older
