Role OverviewJoin Sika's growing team in Lyndhurst, NJ as a Jr. Chemist. Conduct basic research into chemistry relevant to sealants and adhesives, develop new products, and provide technical support to production plants and customers.
What You Will Do
Execute feasibility studies, test products, participate in implementing new products/technologies, and provide technical solutions to customers.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to travel 10% of work time, strong teamwork and presentation skills, excellent technical and business writing skills, and good computer skills in Microsoft Office and Project Management.
Requirements
- BS degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering
- 0-2 years of hands-on industrial laboratory experience
- Experience in sealants and adhesives preferred
- Design of Experiments (DOE) experience preferred but not required
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent technical and business writing skills
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management
