Role OverviewThe Junior Accounting Specialist reports directly to the Director of Accounting and is responsible for processing and maintaining financial information relating to the activities of the College and Association. The role involves daily financial transactions, journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and other duties as required.
What You Will Do
Responsible for daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the daily close process. Posts journal entries, reconciles general ledger accounts, and performs monthly bank reconciliations.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have accounting and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Docs/Sheets, and experience with Banner software. A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred.
