Job Description
As a Junior Cabling Technician at Zones, you will support the installation, testing, and maintenance of structured cabling systems for voice, data, and video networks. You will work under the guidance of senior technicians and project supervisors, assisting with daily field work while learning industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Assist with the installation of copper and fiber optic cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, fiber)
  • Pull, route, and secure cables through walls, ceilings, conduits, and floor systems
  • Terminate cables at patch panels, jacks, racks, and network equipment
  • Label cables and maintain accurate as-built documentation
  • Perform basic cable testing and troubleshooting using test equipment
  • Assist with equipment mounting (racks, cable trays, ladder racks)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards
  • Follow blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions
  • Travel to job sites and assist with site preparation and cleanup
  • Support senior technicians with maintenance and troubleshooting tasks
