Job Description
PDG is seeking a Junior Engineer to add to our growing and talented team. The perfect candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Requirements

  • Structural analyses of bridges.
  • Assist with the preparation of design calculations and details.
  • Assist in the preparation of contract plans and specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction cost estimates.
  • Assist in the review of construction submittals.
  • Perform occasional field inspections of existing structures.
  • Perform occasional field visits to resolve construction issues.
  • Knowledge of basic structural engineering principals and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be focused on providing quality work.
  • Working knowledge of relevant structural concepts of bridges and other highway structures.
  • Experienced in common computer applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel), experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred.
  • A Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 0 – 3 years of progressive experience in the field.
  • No certifications are required.
