Junior Mechanical Engineer (SETA)

Peraton is looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in supporting the US Intelligence Community. As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing complex mechanical systems that are critical to national security. You’ll collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and technical experts to apply innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology in an ever-evolving field.

What You Will Do

Design and develop mechanical equipment and systems, collaborate with other engineers, analyze tasks, provide accurate manpower and material estimates, and develop schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.

Requirements

• Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI clearance with a relevant polygraph
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 2 years of experience, OR Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with less than 2 years of experience, OR High School Diploma with 9 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team of engineers and technical professionals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear reports and technical documentation
• Able to ensure accuracy and precision in all aspects of engineering design, reporting, and documentation
