Role Overview

The Junior Network Administrator will provide on-site support to the Naval Medical Leader and Professional Development Command (NMLPDC) for Local Area Network, system administration, patching, data center, and escalated help desk support.

What You Will Do

The role includes configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and monitoring LAN electronics, supporting server and recovery activities, and assisting the Senior Network Administrator in maintaining reliable network operations.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Local Area Network electronics, network monitoring, connectivity troubleshooting, and enterprise infrastructure support.
  • Experience configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and monitoring network devices and related systems.
  • Knowledge of system administration, software installation, patch management, security updates, and data recovery support.
  • Ability to resolve escalated help desk issues and provide support to local and remote users.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent certification required before accessing the network.
  • Associate degree in IT or related discipline; two additional years of relevant experience may substitute.
  • Minimum of 3 years Network/System Administration experience.
