Job Description
To assist with providing engineering expertise in molded part design and manufacturing, with a focus on plastic injection molding while working in Research and Development with multifunctional design and engineering teams to design new products and support production.

Requirements

  • Collaborate with multifunctional design and engineering teams
  • Assist in the specification and evaluation of plastic materials
  • Create and document designs using 2D, 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
  • Assist with validating designed parts and assemblies by performing physical tests and measurements
  • Assist with validating designed parts and assemblies by performing Finite Element Analysis or other simulations
  • Assist with preparing and building prototypes for design verification
  • Assist with preparing documentation of parts and assemblies for manufacturing
  • Assist with reviewing component and tooling quotes and critique proposed tooling and tooling changes
  • Perform inspection and validation testing/fitment on T1 samples
  • Support Production as needed
  • Travel to domestic and international contract manufacturers as needed for product launches
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
  • Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
