Role OverviewJoin Firefly Aerospace's Primary Structures Team as a Junior Structures Responsible Engineer for Launch Vehicles. Develop state-of-the-art pressurized structures throughout the product life cycle. Collaborate with a dynamic team on analysis, design, fabrication, and testing.
What You Will Do
Formulate comprehensive cradle-to-grave Road Maps for hardware, design and develop large composite pressurized structures, perform strength and sizing calculations, and create CAD and manufacturing drawings.

Required: B.S. degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, internship(s) in structural system design, and experience with industry FEA/FEM tools. Desired: experience with composite structures and manufacturing techniques, familiarity with aerospace standard structural analysis methods, and working knowledge of composite manufacturing methods.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering
- Internship(s) in a structural system design-related role
- Strong design and integration skills using 3-D CAD software (Siemens NX / FiberSim preferable)
- Ability to effectively work in a multi-discipline team and provide technical guidance and insight
- Experience with industry FEA/FEM tools like Nastran, ANSYS, FEMAP, Simcenter, etc.
