Role Overview

The Junior Transportation Engineer Borough Lead – TEP will work in the Traffic Engineering & Planning (TEP) unit, conducting and supporting reviews of environmental studies, performing traffic operations and safety analyses, and collecting and evaluating transportation data. The candidate will work in the office but may be asked to perform occasional field work. The successful candidate will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and contribute to the timely delivery of high-quality technical work products.

What You Will Do

Conduct and support reviews of environmental studies, perform traffic operations and safety analyses, collect and evaluate transportation data, conduct field investigations, and assess conditions at intersections and pedestrian facilities. Manage assigned projects and technical reviews, exercise sound professional judgment, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to advance project objectives.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in civil engineering
  • One year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work
  • A Master's degree from an accredited college in civil engineering
