Job Description
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is seeking a Jurisdiction Review Unit Analyst (Investigator V) to review complaints, determine TEA authority, and collaborate with the investigative team. The role requires sound judgment, autonomy, and a commitment to upholding the values of the Office of Governance. Flexible work location within the state of Texas may be considered for qualified candidates.

Requirements

  • Jurisdictional Review: review complaint allegations to determine TEA authority under state and federal law
  • Risk Assessment and Analysis: identify potential risks of the allegation(s) and the relative severity of each alleged violation
  • Customer Service and Stakeholder Collaboration: ensure all correspondence, internal memorandums, and documentation related to complaints are processed timely and accurately
  • Cross-Divisional Collaboration: partner with internal investigative units and general counsel to identify and implement actions necessary to ensure compliance
  • Process Improvement Supervision: collaborate with colleagues and unit managers to develop and refine policies and procedures that support the team’s strategy
