Role Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing strength-based practice and training on current NYC juvenile justice practice and policy. They will supervise and coach new and seasoned juvenile justice staff on competencies for juvenile justice practice and the ability to coach and develop staff. The Community Coordinator will collaborate in all aspects of the training department's work, including scheduling, administrative tasks, and quality improvement.

What You Will Do

Provide training in various components of the Juvenile Justice Core Learning Program, provide evaluative and developmental feedback to participants, work closely with ACS', DYFJ, and our Providers to develop, coordinate, and implement training for frontline staff and supervisors.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above. They will be able to provide strength-based practice and training on current NYC juvenile justice practice and policy, and supervise and coach new and seasoned juvenile justice staff.

  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above

Benefits
