Role Overview

The Ohio Department of Youth Services is recruiting for a Juvenile Parole Officer in the Northern Region. The position will be assigned to case loads in the following counties: Erie, Fulton, Huron, Lucas, Ottawa. The Juvenile Parole Officer will provide valuable experience and knowledge to the youth in our care.

What You Will Do

Develop case plans to support successful transition of juvenile offenders back into the community, monitor caseload of juvenile offenders on parole status, and coordinate community services that support goals & objectives of case plan.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We are looking for individuals with undergraduate core coursework in criminal justice, criminology, social work, sociology or related field, and 6 mos. exp. in probation or parole case management &/or probation or parole crisis management.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate core coursework in criminal justice, criminology, social work, sociology or related field
  • Valid driver's license
  • 6 mos. exp. in probation or parole case management &/or probation or parole crisis management
