Role Overview

This position provides social services to assist in the rehabilitation of juvenile law offenders in custody or on probation. The incumbent makes recommendations for actions involving the formulation of rehabilitation plans and treatment of offenders.

What You Will Do

The incumbent will coordinate work, supervise employees, assign tasks, and review progress to assess performance. They will also conduct case reviews, provide technical assistance, and determine applicable case management intervention strategies.

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience as a Certified Juvenile Probation Officer (JPO) and/or Senior Juvenile Probation Officer (SJPO)
  • Four years of experience working directly with adolescents in one or more of the following fields: criminal justice, social services, or a related field
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability to provide counseling and guidance to others
  • Ability to make recommendations concerning the processing and handling of delinquent youth
  • Ability to communicate effectively
