Job Description
The K-12 Director will lead business development efforts, oversee client engagements, and ensure successful project execution. They will represent the organization as a thought leader in the education space and generate new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales and business development with a focus on education projects
  • A track record of identifying and pursuing new client opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic background
  • Ten (10) or more years of consulting experience or equivalent education/public-sector experience
  • Previous U.S. school district/K–12 leadership or consulting experience required
  • Five (5) or more years of management experience

  • A proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; problem solving, project management, and creative resourcefulness
  • Capacity for managing and leading people; ability to connect with people both on an individual level and in large groups; capacity to enforce accountability, develop and empower top notch leaders from the bottom up, cultivate entrepreneurship, and learn the strengths and weaknesses of the team so as to put people in a position to succeed
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working and building relationships with clients and with external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and multi-task on multiple projects
  • An ability to navigate ambiguity comfortably and meet frequent deadlines
  • A sense of humor and ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel depending on client needs
