Role Overview

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) oversees capital projects undertaken by state agencies and state-supported institutions of higher education. The Commission manages Ohio's school facility programs, which provide support for the construction and renovation of public K-12 schools. The K-12 Financial Administrator will serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters related to school district projects.

What You Will Do

The K-12 Financial Administrator will review and conduct desk reviews of school district project finances, communicate with school districts about issues identified, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. The administrator will also work with Commission staff, construction management firms, auditing firms, and school districts to collect data, perform financial analysis, and resolve issues.

The administrator will work closely with school districts, Commission staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the financial integrity of school district projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in educational and/or public finance
  • Advanced level of experience in MS Excel
