Role Overview

As a Program Leader, you will work as a team member, supervising and interacting with children in a drop-in setting, creating a safe and activity-enriching environment. You will also develop and implement age-appropriate developmental curriculum and enforce safety and risk management standards.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include supervising children, implementing enrichment activities, maintaining a clean and fun environment, and enforcing safety and risk management standards. You will also keep track of children using the program tracking system and communicate with parents and families.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year progressive experience in an organized child care setting
  • Early Childhood Education units are preferred
  • Certified in Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and Basic First Aid (or certified within 30 days of hire)
  • Completion of YMCA trainings within 30 days of hire
  • Bilingual preferred
