Role Overview

As a Program Leader, you will work as a team member, supervising and interacting with children in a drop-in setting, creating a safe and fun environment for them to grow. You will also develop and implement age-appropriate developmental curriculum and enrichment activities.

What You Will Do

Your main responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and engaging environment, enforcing safety and risk management standards, and keeping track of children using the program tracking system. You will also participate in branch emergency drills and uphold YMCA policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year progressive experience in an organized child care setting
  • Early Childhood Education units are preferred
  • Certified in Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and Basic First Aid (or certified within 30 days of hire)
  • Completion of YMCA trainings within 30 days of hire
  • Bilingual preferred
