Role OverviewThe Cook will work in a 72-bed residential treatment facility, assisting men and women with alcohol and substance use recovery. The role involves cooking and meal preparation, client support, and interaction with residents.
What You Will Do
Prepare and cook meals, plan menus, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and assist with meal planning and preparation for special events. Greet residents, provide assistance, and enforce facility rules during meal times.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The Cook will have the opportunity to assist clients become sober, productive individuals by supporting them with vocational kitchen/food prep skills. High interaction with program participants and lead staff is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma, or GED
- Kitchen or restaurant experience
- Experience in menu planning and food preparation in a healthcare facility preferred, but not required
