Role OverviewThe Knowledge Management & Records Specialist will help drive the restructuring of document architecture, automate collaboration processes, and enforce Department of War (DoW) records management and retention standards. This role requires a strong technical foundation in SharePoint, an eye for streamlined process design, and hands-on experience leveraging Microsoft Purview, Power Automate, and Power BI within a secure government environment.
What You Will Do
The Knowledge Management & Records Specialist will be responsible for redesigning and restructuring SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, and metadata frameworks to align with Army information management standards. They will also analyze current staff workflows and design streamlined, standardized processes for gathering, reviewing, and publishing official documentation across directorates.

Requirements
- 5 years of professional experience in information management, knowledge management, SharePoint administration, or data operations
- Experience within a federal, defense, or military headquarters environment preferred
- Solid working knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture and site configuration
- Experience with SharePoint functionality including: Custom lists, Document libraries, Modern web parts
- Hands-on experience building cloud flows using Power Automate
- Experience generating operational reports using Power BI
- Familiarity with federal or DoW records management guidelines
- Familiarity with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) standards
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
