Role OverviewThe role is a member of the Core Lab team, working under general supervision to perform pre-analytical and post-analytical tasks, interacting with patients and healthcare professionals, and promoting DMC values.
What You Will Do
The main responsibilities include prioritizing incoming specimens, processing patient specimens, generating and attaching labels, ensuring specimen integrity, and communicating with patients and healthcare professionals.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have six months of experience in medical training or certification in a healthcare environment, with a focus on customer service experience and medical terminology knowledge.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Six months experience in medical training, and/or certification in a healthcare environment or related science field
- Basic studies in medical terminology or a related health science field preferred
- Customer service experience in a service environment preferred
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred for Phlebotomists
