Requirements

  • Prioritize incoming specimens
  • Process patient specimens in accordance with department safety and OSHA guidelines
  • Verify patient identification and collect insurance information
  • Generate and attach labels to specimen/blood samples
  • Ensure specimen integrity by verifying patient identification and ensures the sample submitted is appropriate given the requested test
