Lab Technician

We are looking for a Lab Technician to provide routine analytical and technical support to the Wacker Calvert City Plant. The role involves performing routine analytical tests, instrument preventative maintenance, calibration, and standardization per written analytical procedures and other work instructions. The successful candidate will assist in problem-solving for safety, health, environmental, and product quality improvements under-documented guidelines and supervision.

What You Will Do

The primary responsibilities of the role include conducting routine analytical and physical tests of raw material, in-process, final materials, and environmental samples per established sample schedules and written procedures. The candidate will also perform non-routine analytical and physical tests in support of technical, engineering, and plant trials.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science with a concentration in chemistry or related science field
• One year of industrial laboratory experience or equivalent
• Ability to comprehend and accurately execute detailed procedures and instructions
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Teamwork, flexibility, and ability to adapt to change positively
• Basic mathematical skills for computing data for finished test results
• High degree of hand and eye coordination for laboratory tasks
• Typing skills for computer data entry and use of various software packages
