Role OverviewThe Laboratory Assistant is primarily responsible for performing duties related to accessioning, specimen management, problem resolution, and data entry and specimen storage with a high degree of proficiency.
What You Will Do
Receive incoming shipments, examine samples, contact clients, perform data entry, label samples, retrieve and re-file samples, properly store specimens, prepare specimens for shipping, aid laboratory personnel in cleaning duties, and maintain quality control and quality assurance records.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of clinical laboratory experience, and 1 year of data entry experience. They will be comfortable with raw specimen handling, able to read, interpret, and comply with documents, and have an intermediate level of proficiency with PC-based software programs.
