Job Description
LCMC Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to assist with operational management of Client Services, process specimens, and perform waived and moderately complex lab testing procedures. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in Phlebotomy or Lab Assistant roles and a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

Requirements

  • Assists with operational management of Client Services
  • Processes specimens maintaining positive specimen identification
  • Maintains work area to ensure accurate processing
  • Labels, processes and distributes specimens according to department standards
  • Performs and results waived and moderately complex lab testing procedures
  • Collects and collates data for quality assurance programs
  • Administers patient satisfaction surveys
  • Monitors supplies and assists with observational audits
  • Performs phlebotomy procedures using venipuncture when necessary
