Job Description
Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Laboratory Director to join their Lab Administration team. The full-time role will primarily work on-site, responsible for administrative management of clinical laboratory and pathology services, personnel and resource management, budgeting, legal and regulatory compliance, and laboratory accreditations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in medical technology, business administration, management, or related field
  • Five + years of Laboratory management experience
  • Clinical Laboratory background
  • Skilled and experienced in directing a full business unit
  • Ability to effectively allocate resources (i.e. budget and personnel)
  • Capable of assisting executives in defining organizational goals, critical issues, and strategic plans
  • Experience modeling and upholding organizational norms and values, particularly with regards to health and safety
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking when addressing organizational issues
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and innovatively while supporting company-wide initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and negotiate with people at all levels
  • Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: Management experience in a high complexity CLIA Clinical Laboratory
  • License/Certifications: Medical Technologist (ASCP)/Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP)
