Role OverviewThis role is responsible for expeditious and accurate performance of routine clinical laboratory tests, record keeping, preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and procedures. The position is PRN (as needed) at Avera Worthington Clinic in Worthington, MN, with day/evening/weekend/holiday shifts.
What You Will Do
Perform testing utilizing established protocol with a high degree of accuracy in all departments of the laboratory, including calibration, quality control checks, and preventative maintenance. Collect, receive, and transport blood and other specimens from clinic patients, performing phlebotomy and other specimen collection procedures. Review, research, interpret, and report data, distinguishing between normal and abnormal clinical parameters. Implement and monitor laboratory inventory and control program, and actively participate in quality assurance program.
