Role Overview

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Laborer (Facilities)-Junior to support Electromagnetic Environmental Effects. The Laborer will serve as a Laborer in the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV, Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) facilities group. The Laborer will assist with the reconfiguration, upkeep, and maintenance of RF testing systems and HVAC systems, perform general laborer duties as assigned in industrial environments, and assist with coordinating, scheduling, and providing for Test Project Engineers' aircraft, facility use, and Support Equipment (SE) needs.

What You Will Do

A typical day as a Laborer (Facilities)-Junior may include serving as a Laborer in the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV, Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) facilities group, assisting with the reconfiguration, upkeep, and maintenance of RF testing systems and HVAC systems, performing general laborer duties as assigned in industrial environments, and assisting with coordinating, scheduling, and providing for Test Project Engineers' aircraft, facility use, and Support Equipment (SE) needs.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of relevant work experience
  • The ability to work 2nd shift (2:30 PM to 12:00 AM) after completing a mandatory day shift training period (3-month estimate)
  • Experience working with hand and power tools
  • Experience working with desktop computers and windows applications
  • The ability to proactively seek out work
  • Willingness to work outdoors in the heat and cold environment
  • Willingness to take direction and provide superior customer service
  • Willingness to work overtime as scheduling requires
  • Excellent time management skills and proven dependability
  • Strong attention to detail during tasking
