Role OverviewAs a Laborer Telecom Aerial, you'll support an Aerial Telecom Crew with the installation and maintenance of fiber/telecom cables and materials. You'll work in a field environment, performing various tasks such as providing tools and materials, repositioning equipment, and ensuring door-tagging and resident notifications are completed.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing tools and parts to crew members, repositioning equipment, and performing hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools. You'll also direct/flag traffic flow, work overtime, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
Why It Might Be a Fit
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be physically able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in remote locations. Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus, and you'll need to be willing to become certified as a pole climber.
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
- Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
