Job Description
Interpret and apply County land use ordinances, research zoning maps and plans, complete initial planning case processing, inform developers and public on land use regulations, and make routine inspections.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of state laws and municipal and County ordinances governing land use and zoning
  • Ability to read, interpret and research laws, rules and regulations
  • Ability to read legal documents and interpret legal descriptions
  • Ability to read maps, architectural drawings and interpret building plans
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate reports
  • Ability to maintain files
  • Ability to speak and write effectively
