Job Description
This position works with a specified team in various locations throughout the Biltmore Estate. The Horticulture Intern will learn valuable skills in landscape maintenance, turf maintenance, IPM, plant ID, soils, seasonal displays, irrigation, and other aspects of the Horticulture field.
Requirements
Perform basic ground maintenance duties
Assist in basic gardening duties
Recognize significant woody and herbaceous plants
Recognize plant problems and bring them to the attention of the Supervisor
Reliably work as scheduled
Operate basic grounds equipment
Safely and efficiently operate hand tools
Assist in application of fertilizers and/or pesticides
Use proper watering techniques
