Our Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance tasks associated with the care of cemetery grounds and facilities. This position will work under direct supervision, individually, or as part of a team. Duties include grounds maintenance functions, such as using hand tools and operating equipment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform general grounds clean-up and trash disposal.
- Clean and maintain storm drains.
- Repair lawn damage.
- Mow section and garden lawns.
- Trim memorial tablets.
- Replant landscapes.
- Apply landscape chemicals, such as fertilizers, wetting agents, and herbicides.
- Assist client families and other guests with grounds maintenance requests.
- Operate specialized equipment to move materials.
- Assist with completing interments.
- Assist with setup and cleanup before and after special events.
- Install tents for funeral services.
