Role OverviewThe Landscape Plans Examiner & Inspector is responsible for enforcing landscaping codes and regulations, reviewing development plans, and inspecting new construction and renovation projects. The candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of current arboricultural and horticultural practices, South Florida trees, and other plant species.
What You Will Do
The role involves reviewing construction plans, inspecting sites, investigating complaints, furnishing information on landscaping regulations, verifying tree service contractor licenses, inspecting trees, issuing notices of correction, and appearing in court or before the Code Enforcement Board.

Requirements
- Bachelor degree in urban forestry or a related field from an accredited college
- three (3) years' practical experience in urban forestry, horticulture, and/or arboriculture
- Certified Arborist
- Landscape Inspector's license/certificate issued by Landscape Inspectors Association of Florida (or other recognized professional association)
- tree trimming license with either Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach County
