Role OverviewThe Laser Operator safely performs Turret/laser process operations for a variety of organizational manufacturing needs.
What You Will Do
Perform typical Turret/laser functions of sheet metal through automated Turret/laser Combo machine, set-up machine and run job based on recommended settings, review and maintain raw materials, inspect jobs against drawing, and perform hour-based maintenance.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in CNC programming, machine operation, or turret/laser combo operation, and a 2- or 4-year degree or technical schooling in manufacturing fields.
Requirements
- Knowledge of fabricated sheet metal manufacturing
- Knowledge of different types of metals (Aluminum, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, etc.)
- Expert ability to read engineering blueprints
- Knowledge of assist gasses used in laser processing (oxygen, N2, etc.)
- Knowledge of CAD-Solid works and strong computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills
