Laundry Attendant

Under direction of the laundry supervisor, the attendant will be responsible for daily operation of plant including processing tasks related to linen and terry at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. This is a full-time, in-person position requiring teamwork and flexible hours.

What You Will Do

Responsible for daily operation of the laundry facility, including breaking down bags, sorting, folding, and flatwork processing. Work with a team to ensure proper cleaning and processing of all linens for the entire resort, and monitor conditions of linens, sorting appropriately.

Requires basic knowledge of resort activities and laundry services, with 1 year of laundry experience preferred but not required. Must be able to work independently and in a team, possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record, and follow directions. • Basic knowledge of resort activities
• Basic knowledge of laundry services and 1 year of laundry experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
• Must possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Must be able to follow directions and show respect to other employees, supervisor and management
• Must be able to lift minimum weight of 25 lbs. across short-medium distances
• Must physically be able to transport linen(s) over the course of a full shift, and remain standing for a vast majority of that shift
• Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, intense work environment, sometimes under extreme heat and stress, and must be able to remain calm
